Lasers
Lasers can resurface, tighten, and improve your skin texture without extended downtime.
Common Skin Concerns
Over time, our skin is affected by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors that can lead to various skin concerns like pigmentation, wrinkles, enlarged pores, roughness, and uneven skintone.
Sun exposure is one of the biggest contributing factors to skin damage. UV radiation from the sun can result in dark spots, freckles, sun spots, and a mottled skin tone. It also degrades collagen and accelerates aging.
As we age, skin loses elasticity and moisture due to decreases in collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin in the skin. This leads to fine lines, wrinkles, crepiness, and a dull, rough texture. Other environmental aggressors like pollution and smoking generate free radicals that break down collagen even faster, worsening the visible signs of aging.
Genetics also play a role in the development of certain skin concerns. Those prone to sun spots and melasma can experience pigmentation much easier. Hereditary factors also impact the rate at which our skin ages.
Acne scarring can leave skin looking uneven, with texture irregularities like indents, raised bumps and dark spots in affected areas.
Together, these intrinsic and extrinsic factors contribute to common skin concerns that make skin appear older, damaged and irregular.
