What is ultherapy?

Ultherapy® uses ultrasound energy to naturally lift and tighten the skin without surgery, giving you a younger, fresher look from your forehead to your chest.  Ultherapy not only lifts face and neck, it can achieve a slimmer face, better skin texture and boost collagen stimulation.

The treatment is safe and effective, which lasts around an hour long. Ultherapy reveals natural, noticeable results with no downtime.

Ultherapy Forehead Treatment

Ultrasound heats the deep tissues beneath the brow, lifting the eyebrow skin and smoothing out horizontal forehead lines and wrinkles for a smoother, refreshed brow lift.

Ultherapy Treatment Around Eye

Around Eye

Provide subtle lift around the eyes by targeting the foundation deep under the skin with focused ultrasound to firm loose eyelid skin, smooth crow's feet, and reduce the look of under eye bags.

Ultherapy Treatment Cheek

Heat and contract collagen deep under the skin's surface on the cheeks, resulting in a lifted and contoured appearance that can make sagging or crepey cheek skin look smoother and more defined.

Ultherapy Treatment Lower Face

Lower Face/Jowls

Tighten the foundational tissues beneath the chin and along the jawline, lifting the appearance of a sagging jawline and smoothing out jowls for a more defined, contoured look to the lower face.

Ultherapy Treatment double chin

Double Chin

Ultrasound energy directed under the skin to heat and tighten loose, lax tissues along the underside of the chin and neck, smoothing the appearance of a double chin.

Ultherapy Treatment Neck

Focused ultrasound energy targets the deep foundational layers under the skin, heating those tissues to lift and tighten loose, crepey skin on the neck and improve lines and wrinkles on the neck.

Ultherapy Treatment Décolletage

Tighten skin on the décolletage, or chest area, by heating the deep foundational layers under the skin to lift, smooth, and firm loose, crepey skin on the chest and improve the appearance of wrinkles and lines.

How ultherapy works?

Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten loose skin from the inside out. The ultrasound energy reaches specific layers of the skin at an optimal temperature of approximately 60°C, stimulating collagen production. As a result, Ultherapy can achieve a lifting and tightening effect far superior to other non-invasive treatments.

Ultherapy is also unique in that it has real-time imaging, which enables physicians to see precisely what layer of tissue they are treating. This visualisation ensures that the ultrasound energy is delivered precisely and effectively to the desired area.

precise targeting of depth and temperature

Ultherapy treatment treats at the precise depth and temperature

By treating at multiple depths of 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm below the skin surface, Ultherapy targets the same superficial and deep foundational layers treated in a modern facelift. It treats at precise depth & temperature without damaging the surface of the skin.

Ultherapy ultrasound treats deeper than lasers and radio-frequency devices.

Ultherapy consistently heats tissue to 60°-70°C, the optimal temperature range for stimulating new collagen growth, or neocollagenesis.

Precision Through Visualization

The Ulthera System, used to perform Ultherapy, is the only nonsurgical device that allows clinicians to see precisely what layers of tissue they are treating. This ensures the energy is delivered safely and to where it will be most beneficial.

The system’s patented DeepSEE visualization technology provides an added level of precision and safety to the Ultherapy treatment.

What to Expect Post-Treatment

Ultherapy works by repairing and strengthening tissue from the inside out — This process takes occur gradually over time as new collagen is created.

The treatment will produce results gradually over the course of two to three months, and improvements will remain for up to six months following completion.

Although everyone will react differently, the following are some of the experiences that patients have reported having.

1 week after treatment

1 month after treatment

3-6 months after treatment

After undergoing Ultherapy, patients are able to immediately resume their daily activities. Some patients may suffer slight swelling or tingling or touch sensitivity that may last for a short period of time but should go away within two days to two weeks in most cases.

To some extent, the natural aging process of the skin can be counteracted by receiving touch-up treatments on a regular basis.

Numbing cream is applied for 20 minutes before the procedure. After removing the numbing cream, a cold soothing gel will be placed on the treatment area before delivering the ultrasonic energy on the skin via the Ultherapy applicator. You may feel mild pricking but no sharp pain or hot sensation.

The process takes approximately one hour to complete.

There is no recovery period required. As soon as the treatment is over, you won’t need to take any post-treatment precautions because you’ll be able to quickly return to your regular routine.

It just takes one session, although some people could need more than one treatment depending on how lax their skin is and how their body reacts to the ultrasound and the collagen-building process.

The procedure boosts collagen stimulation which need around 2-3 months for results.  However, your natural ageing process will dictate how long that translates into visible results on the outside.

Patients who already have metal implants in their bodies are not good candidates.
