What is ultherapy?

Ultherapy® uses ultrasound energy to naturally lift and tighten the skin without surgery, giving you a younger, fresher look from your forehead to your chest.  Ultherapy not only lifts face and neck, it can achieve a slimmer face, better skin texture and boost collagen stimulation.

The treatment is safe and effective, which lasts around an hour long. Ultherapy reveals natural, noticeable results with no downtime.

Why choose ultherapy?

How ultherapy works?

Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten loose skin from the inside out. The ultrasound energy reaches specific layers of the skin at an optimal temperature of approximately 60°C, stimulating collagen production. As a result, Ultherapy can achieve a lifting and tightening effect far superior to other non-invasive treatments.

Ultherapy is also unique in that it has real-time imaging, which enables physicians to see precisely what layer of tissue they are treating. This visualisation ensures that the ultrasound energy is delivered precisely and effectively to the desired area.

precise targeting of depth and temperature

By treating at multiple depths of 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm below the skin surface, Ultherapy targets the same superficial and deep foundational layers treated in a modern facelift. It treats at precise depth & temperature without damaging the surface of the skin.

Ultherapy ultrasound treats deeper than lasers and radio-frequency devices.

Ultherapy heats tissue to optimal temperature for stimulating new collagen growth

Ultherapy consistently heats tissue to 60°-70°C, the optimal temperature range for stimulating new collagen growth, or neocollagenesis.

Precision Through Visualization

The Ulthera System, used to perform Ultherapy, is the only nonsurgical device that allows clinicians to see precisely what layers of tissue they are treating. This ensures the energy is delivered safely and to where it will be most beneficial.

The system’s patented DeepSEE visualization technology provides an added level of precision and safety to the Ultherapy treatment.

What to Expect Post-Treatment

Ultherapy works by repairing and strengthening tissue from the inside out — a process that takes place gradually over time with the creation of new collagen. Results appear gradually over 2-3 months, and improvements will continue up to 6 months after treatment. While individual responses will vary, below are the experiences reported by patients.

1 week after treatment

Slight lifting, toning and plumping of fine lines

Minor swelling and slight tingling/ tenderness to the touch

Possibility of minor bruising or numbness

1 month after treatment

Continued lifting and toning

Tighter feel with smoother texture

Slight tingling/ tenderness to the touch or numbness

3-6 months after treatment

Additional lifting and toning

Brow elevation

Less sagging

Noticeably smoother texture, improved contour

Patients can return to normal activities right after Ultherapy treatment. Some patients may experience mild and temporary swelling or tingling/tenderness to the touch which typically subsides within 2 days to 2 weeks.

Periodic touch-up treatments may help to offset the skin’s natural aging process.

Numbing cream is applied for 20 minutes before the procedure. After removing the numbing cream, a cold soothing gel will be placed on the treatment area before delivering the ultrasonic energy on the skin via the Ultherapy applicator. You may feel mild pricking but no sharp pain or hot sensation.

The Ultherapy procedure takes about an hour long.

There is no downtime with Ultherapy. Once done with the procedure, you can resume your normal activities immediately without following any post-treatment measures.

1 session is enough, but some may benefit from more than one treatment depending on their skin laxity and the body’s biological response to the ultrasound and collagen-building process.

The procedure boosts collagen stimulation which need around 2-3 months for results.  However, your natural ageing process will dictate how long that translates into visible results on the outside.

Patients who have metal implants are not recommended to do Ultherapy treatment.
