Regenera Activa
Regenera Activa autologous micrograft treatment, uses patients’ own hair follicles to regenerate new hair growth.
Regenera Activa Hairloss Treatment
Introduced in Singapore in 2018 and approved by major health regulatory authorities internationally, it is a highly effective procedure to treat androgenetic alopecia, the most common type of hair loss across both genders. It has an excellent safety profile as only your own cells are used – no chemicals, enzymes or medications.
Early treatment is important as there are limited viable hair follicles on the scalp. It will be too late if the follicles have closed and the hair loss will become irreversible.
These micrografts will be injected into the hair-loss areas to stimulate and restore the growth of new hair follicles, as well as enhancing the density and thickness of existing hair. This two-pronged approach makes Regenera Activa both a treatment and prevention of hair loss.
How Does It Work?
Scalp tissues extracted with punch biopsy needle (2.5mm) from healthy hair areas such as at the back of the head. The scalp tissues are then broken down into smaller micrografts and filtered using the Regenera Activa device.
These micrografts will be injected into the hair-loss areas to stimulate and restore the growth of new hair follicles, as well as enhancing the density and thickness of existing hair. This two-pronged approach makes Regenera Activa both a treatment and prevention of hair loss.

FAQ for Regenera Activa
What will I feel during the Regenera Activa hair loss treatment?
Local anesthesia will be injected into the donor area (back of scalp) before the procedure. Small samples of the skin (2.5mm diameter) will be harvested for hair matrix. You may feel slight pinching sensation but no sharp pain. The hair tissue matrix will then be processed using the device for 3 minutes to produce the solution of micrografts to be injected at the recipient area. During the injection at the recipient area (hair loss area), you may feel itching and prickling sensation which is tolerable. There is no discomfort after the procedure.
How long is the Regenera Activa treatment? Is there any downtime?
The entire treatment can be completed within 30 minutes. As both the harvest and microinjection sites are generally well hidden within the surrounding hair, there is negligible social downtime and you may return to your routine on the next day.
When can I see the result after receiving Regenera Activa hair restoration treatment?
Upon the introduction of micrografts, the dormant hair follicles are activated and it takes time for hair to grow. Clinical studies have shown improvements of hair density in 4 – 6 weeks after the treatment. However, 3-4 months of waiting time is needed for more obvious results.
How frequent do I need to repeat the treatment?
As our hair will undergo cycles of growth and resting phases, hair loss of 50-100 strands per day is considered normal. It is recommended to repeat this procedure once a year to stimulate more hair follicles into growth phase to reduce hair loss and prevent the progression of androgenic alopecia.
Who is suitable for Regenera Activa hairloss treatment?
This hair restoration is suitable for both men and women suffering from mild to moderate hair loss. It is not suitable for people whose hair follicles have been destroyed or closed. Hence, it is important to consult an experienced and qualified doctor prior receiving treatment.
What activities should I avoid after the treatment?
Avoid swimming or excessive exercise for a week. Light exercise is permitted after 2 days when the wound has healed.
How long can Regenera Activa treatment last?
Generally, it can last for one year and it’s recommended to repeat the procedure on a yearly basis.
Is Regenera Activa treatment safe?
Regenera Activa has an excellent safety profile as it is a completely natural treatment using your own cells – no chemicals, enzymes or medications.
